Sir Richard Branson’s fight for shark conservation

Following Sir Richard Branson´s recent visit to Cancun and his encounter with the beautiful whale sharks off the nearby island of Isla Mujeres, he has started a new fight for the conservation of sharks.

In an exclusive interview with Soledad O’Brien on “Starting Point,” Branson talks about his work with WildAid, an organization that focuses on addressing the human threat to wildlife. In partnering with the group, Branson’s influence opens up a new world in ecotourism, dispelling myths about sharks and increasing awareness and the need for conservation.

Take a look at this video of the interview with Soledad and Sir Richard Branson taken whilst on their trip to swim with the whale sharks in Isla Mujeres off the coast of Cancun.
