Mayan Ceremony for the ‘Kiin Akbal’ equinox in Cancun

As part of the programmed events for the 2012 Cancun Project and for celebrating the Peace International Day, Cancun’s Municipality, Benito Juárez, invites us to participate on the Mayan Ceremony for the “ Kiin Akbal ” equinox, which will be held on September 21st a 5PM in the public beach Delfines, otherwise known as El Mirador (Kukulcan Blvd. Km 17.5, Hotel Zone).

This Mayan Ceremony will be focused on asking for healing of the natural environment and the purification of our minds and spirits, finding support on the four elements. A Mayan altar will be the center of this event and the participants will learn about Cancun’s rich  history and culture and that it is home to a Mayan community that is still very much alive.

All participants are requested to wear white.
