A chance for the family to help the environment and protect the blue crab in Cancun. This is a municipal campaign which year on year the Cancun local authority undertakes together with the local society. On the September 22-24 and again in October families are invited to help the blue crab cross over from the mangroves in the Nichupte Lagoon to the sea. This event has been organized to raise awareness and to give our local people the opportunity to help with the conservation of our precious wildlife in Cancun.
The event will take place at between 7 – 11pm three places: Playa El Nino in Puerto Juarez, Playa Las Perlas in the Hotel Zone and El Mirador ll in Punta Nizuc. We ask all volunteers to please wear white so they are more visible in the dark, and to bring leather gloves, a bucket and something to pick them up with.
If you need more information you can call (998) 884 7509. We look forward to seeing you all there to help with the conservation of the Blue Crab and the wildlife in Cancun!
