Glamour and fashion festival takes over Cancun

The festival will take place within the Luxury Avenue Cancun from July 24th-August 8th, featuring make-up sessions, product demonstrations, live concerts, raffles, promotions, discounts and much more. Xel-Ha will be seen by millions of youth via the Disney Channel
The popular Disney Channel program, Zaping Zone, visited the natural park Xel-Ha in Cancun, filming various scenes to be used for transmission through-out all of Latin America. The show’s host Vanesa Andreu, crossed the great floating bridge that joins the Caribbean ocean and the caleta, snorkeled the crystalline waters, lived among the manatees in the La Caleta de Kay-Op and cycled through the Tierra de Hu until reaching Jardin de los Chacahs, where she planted her own tree. “It has been a very beautiful experience; one that I was able to share with our audience, from children 8 years of age to young adults 25 year old” stated Vanesa, who was very impressed by the beauty of Xel-Hal and promised to return with her family.

Cancun welcomes NBA stars
Eduardo Najera, Cancun’s most prestigious basketball player and a member of the New Jersey Nets, was in Cancun on June 27th to participate in the “International Basketball Clinic,” alongside Earl Watson, Mexican-American player of the Oklahoma City team Thunder. In coordination with the Telmex foundation and the Promoter of Pioneers of Quintana Roo, the free clinic opened their doors at 9 am for children ages 10 to 16 years old. More than 6 thousands attendees were able to interact with the basketball stars and ask for autographs.

The Environmental Education Program of Xel-Ha park turns 10 years old
While registering its 500th visitor, the Environmental Education Program of Xel-Ha park—one of the richest ecological zones of Cancun—turned 10 years old. The program has promoted the caring of ecosystems among more than 52 thousand children and 6,700 professors, with free tours and guided visits, creating consciousness within the care of species near extinction and the sustainable use of natural resources.
Students from the Miguel Ortega Navarrete School marked the programs 500th visitor.
