Cancun will host the 8th edition of the ‘Mexico Showcase and Travel Expo 2009’ with the aim of promoting Mexico, and particularly Cancun, to international and national buyers of groups, conventions and services. The event will be held from the 30th April to the 4th May and has been organised by the OVC Cancun.
Cancun will be promoted as the first Mexican tourist destination to be named ‘Environmentally Friendly’. Because of this, preceding the showcase there will be an event named Green Meeting Strategies – Pre Mexico Showcase 2009 from the 28th to the 30th April at the hotel Beach Palace. Green Meeting are incentive programs designed to reduce the impact on the environment and reduce the carbon footprint.
There will be 180 participants, mainly conventions organisers and incentive planners, at the Mexico Showcase and Travel Expo 2009, mainly from the USA, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America who during the four days will enjoy various activities to get to know and enjoy all the wonders that this Mexican Caribbean paradise has to offer.
