A recent article produced after the ‘World Environment Day’ reported that in Xel-Ha, Cancun an impressive 96,000 liters of water are recycled daily to water the plants and green areas. During the High Season this figure increases to an average of 130,000 liters per day which are recycled and used for irrigation.
In Xel-Ha, Cancun they are also looking at ways to reduce the water consumption of the visitors and have managed to reduce this by half in just two years!
It is great to see such a popular tourist destination in Cancun striving to help the environment in such a productive way.
